So guess its been a long time since my last update. I traveled to Tokyo in March of 2018. Metup with my Japanese teacher there. Traveled the tokyo area which was huge. Met up with a few friends who lived there and had a blast. Also traveled to many other prefectures such as Himeji to see the castle and to Nara to see the deer. Was the best trip ever and going again can’t happen fast enough. One day i’d like to be able to go yearly.

I quit my sales job in May of 2018 because my District Manager became a dick and lied to me. I took a week off and then turned in my letter quitting.

I then went into security for some reason. I started my armed job at an area hospital. The site super got fired after 2 weeks. The new guy they put in was a douche. Would lie about, and on the guards. Would tell us to do things then send emails apologizing for us doing them things and he would speak to us.

I went from there to Jack Daniels. Talk about a cake job. Jack is a fantastic location to work at. Most of the guards are nice. Some are back stabby gossip whores. Over all it was fantastic but again. Management driving people away.

I’m about to start with my newest company Loomis. I’m pretty excited as its great pay and looks to be a good job. After training it should be just me and a partner on the road. Perhaps i’ll update my block once a year like I said and not wait almost 3 again.

Right now its April 2020 and there is Covid19 going around and people are loosing their minds. Sheep just listening to the fear. It is bad, and people are not surviving but people are also pretty stupid.

Oh well Guess that’s it for now.

Well it appears that I will only ever write on my blog once a year.   Guess i’ll start from January 2017.   I passed my JLPT N5 that I took last December for learning Japanese. I go this weekend to Atlanta to try for N4.  I doubt i’ll pass as im way behind in studies.

Last time I saw mom was on vacation in January.   Spoke to her last on her birthday.  And texed last on March 18th or so.  She died March 20th.   Been pretty damn hard.   Wasn’t really expecting her to die so soon.   At least she wasn’t alone.   Tosha and Diann had been living there and they couldnt wake her and called 911 and called me shortly after.       Autopsy shows she died of heart issues.  A few of em.  But mainly blockages and hardened artery’s due to high blood pressure.

Not really even close to getting over it yet.  Still makes me depressed and sad to think about.   Kinda derailed my Japanese studies and everything else.

Booked my trip to Japan for March 2018 with me and my friend Jeremy.

Its November now almost December.  I need to go get paper work to run for County Commissioner again.  Need to knock some doors to get signatures again.

Not really much else to tell.   Mom was the big thing this year.  Probably will be for the next many years.   I know she would always talk about my Nanny.  Even after 18 years.

Just a sad entry I guess.

Thought i’d add a P.S.  Here.  Didnt see any mention that me and the wife went to Niagara Falls July of 2016. Was an amazing trip.

Well hell.   I really need to start updating more often.   I got tons of things that have happened since the last update.  Guess i’ll need to login here in a few days, weeks or months  when ever I remember and update this blog a bit.

Well lots and lots and lots of things have happened in the over a year since my last post.   Of course i’m only going to be posting a very few of them.

I Didn’t win the election, but I did do very very well and I am pleased with that.   I will be running again.

On January 1st while messing around on google I searched for Japanese alphabet and well figured why not i’ll try to learn that.   Now here I am still learning Japanese.  I am enjoying it but it is pretty tough I think.  Using iTalki teacher,  just started attending a Japanese study Group.

Back in May my honey and I took a vacation for the first time in a very long time.  We went to New Orleans. Was a great time.  Got to see a good friend who I hadnt seen in almost 20 years.  Was very kewl getting to see the graveyards, the town , the zoo, aquarium, and the people who live there.  Was a very nice trip I enjoyed it quite alot.

In May started attending a D&D Group “game nights” .   Its fun we are still meeting. Not played D&D in forever. Good group of people too. Its very nice to have people to talk to and interact with.

In August I bought an X-Box one. My first console since  PS2 when I was a teenager.   Enjoying it alot. Plus it helps it does everything mmy Roku3 did as well.

Times are a changing thats for sure.

Oh and also first of the year,  Got a dog.  Amazing.  A dog.   Shes a sweet dog.  Surely shes’ more happy now then she was.

Man I really suck at writing about my life when it happens.   Oh well   lots of posts in my decade or so of writing but I could do better.

Well been a few months since I wrote anything here.  Been busy,  or at least feels like I’ve been busy.   So lets see and hope I dont forget anything.

Well in February i was sitting at work wondering when to run for County Commission.  I made the call and found out my deadline was in 3 days.  I had to go get paperwork,  get 25 voter signatures. And then file may paperwork.

So I got it all done and was on the Ballet for the May 6th primary for the Democratic party.

Lots of work, and stuff in between here, nothing of real interest I guess.

Honey took me to see Spider-Man 2 (The Amazing) on May 1st at 7:30 the day before it came out, was very kewl. Great movie. Loved how it was done.    Took me to eat at Chuy’s on the 2nd.

We headed to Knoxville the 3rd to visit Mau & Owl.  Got to hang out with them for a few that was nice.

May 6th Primary came  I received 298 votes  which was 75% of the democratic vote. Which is very good.   Im hopeful for the coming election in August.   Only time will tell.  Im running against 3 other’s who are independent.  I guess I only need 26% to win one of the two seats.

Back in March work we went from Salary to Hourly. Which wasn’t a bad thing got a bit of a raise in the end  but  its a bit more stressful because the job is more then 40 a week.  But if they want quantity over quality I guess thats what the’ll get.

To much has happened i’ll never remember it all but lets see if I can try.

Went to my sisters wedding the last Saturday in December.  Was pretty good time.  Had a bit to much wine at the reception.  I think everyone did thoe.  I dont think there was a sober person in the place.  I danced with Granny and Honey and who knows who else.  Met my  Grandpa on that side of the Family for the first time.  That was good.  He just found out about two weeks prior.   I bet that was a shock.  Something out of the Jerry show i’m sure.

Stayed in Morganton till January 1st  then came back home to head back to work.   While I was in town i stopped into Alans Pawn shop on the way to the wedding.  Picked up a nice 1890-1895  Joseph Bohmann violin.   Its currently in the shop having some repairs and work done to make it ready to be played.   I can’t wait to pick it up and give it  a try.

The shop owner at Nashville Violins  brought his  1876 Bohmann in for me to look at.  It sure was nice. Very interesting.  The various labels inside and markings where pretty kewl.   I think i’d like to have one with the nice inlay on back as well but i bet that will be like finding a needle in a haystack.

Well sitting here watching Sherlock with my Honey and I don’t think there is any thing else to mention that isn’t just normal every day type stuff…..

OH!  Yea  I guess one more thing.   This past week  Honey and I  signed up for a years membership to the Rec Center.  Started working out M-W-F .   First full week is down.   only 51 more weeks to go.  Honey is looseing weight.  I’m kinda thinking about it   and may end up doing it too but for now just doing some Tredmill and weight lifting  try to get into some kind of shape.  Then I may loose some weight.    I’d like to be 220-235  with 15%body fat  by this time next year  but we will see.    I do like my pizza and burgers thoe.

Well i’m official in my new job.  Salary plus commission.  So far I think it’s going pretty good. Its alot to do. But I think its ok. I am enjoying it.

Just moved Daphne into an apartment in cookeville.  That was a long time, got home to late and went to bed.

Saw Thor 2 with honey this past Thursday. It was pretty good.   Honey turned 43.

I’m starting to feel older.  Strange sensation.

Got me a server over at Dacentec running Directadmin  out in Lenoir NC.   pretty fun to have my own place for my own sites.   I enjoy them  even when I don’t have a server with them.

Not playing as much music as I was  with the new job taking up alot more time.  But i’m getting used to it and shoudl be able to start getting back into the swing of things  music wise.

I’m about to start my 5th week as a full time with Anderson.  Its been interesting.  Feet hurt by the end of the day but I expected that.  Its alot more active then  my other jobs  but I am enjoying it quite a bit.   2 official weeks full time, 4 total.     Hope that  after this week sometime in week 6 the boss will contact me to sign me up as  Salary.   Yea not as good as hourly but i want the commission  and that  gas allowance.

Lots has happened since my last post.    My boss had a wreck in June  and is still not well.    Her boss called me a week or so ago and said   that her job was open  and if I didn’t take it he would find someone who would.  So I said i’d take it.

I got my drug test in the mail and it turned out to be a hair test.   Well I started keeping short hair over a year ago,  the nurse at the clinic said they could not use my hair on my head.   They took a look at my body, legs, underarms and so forth and said  “your going to have to come back in several weeks when your hair grows out”.   I had to tell them it needed to be done within 24hours or else.    So they  shaved my body.   And once they did that they said  “This may not be enough hair”   hahahahhaha.

But all ended up good. It was enough, the test came back good ,   the background check cleared,  and my documents were in order.    So as of   Oct 1st   I sign paperwork to make it official.    I’ll be the new sales rep in the area.     I’m told  when Alicia is ready to come back  she will still have a job ,   just not the same territory.   So  its good  she’s not being booted.  Makes me glad.

The job went from part time making low pay,  to  full time  and 7times the pay, plus commission .    After all it’ll be in the  30’s   which is nice.

I just feel excited and can’t wait to get into the grooove of things.  Learn all the aspects of the job and get started.

 

 

 

So  wen to Fandom Fest  in Louisville, KY   July 26th – 28th.    Had a good time  ,  met lots of great people.   Not to mention met my idol   freaking STAN LEE!!!!   The whole point I went was to get to gimps him.    The event for me was good because I came in to help Stephen with the Lit Track.    That all went well expect the owners  didn’t put anything in the program for him, nothing on the site, nothing on the maps.  Made it as if it didn’t even exist.  Crappy if you ask me.    I don’t know them but  just from this past year  they don’t apear to be people i’d want anything to do with.

There was so many people at one point the fire Marshall came in and  shut the con down.  Crazy again.     8 hour long lines to meet  Norman Reedus, crazy.      The whole photo OP thing was a mess.  No organisation to it what so ever.  If i was some of the people  I would of been in jail for bashing heads.     So many people done dirty.    There still trying to make things right even 2-3 weeks later.

So   Met the  chic from Chasing Amy and Mall Rats,   Dante from Clerks,         Dude from warehouse13 Eddie McClintock,      John Barrowman from DrWho and Torchwood… That was very kewl too.  He was super nice.   Met  Colin Baker  man so many its unreal.   All very nice people.

The celebs at the con were even treated badly.   Colin Baker tells me  they left him in his room forgot about him.   When he was there  they told him no fans showed up for photo ops or Q&A    but the fans were told he cancelled.  He was not a happy camper and couldn’t wait to get out of there and fly home to Britten.   His own words.  Talked to him a good 15min. Very nice guy.   John Barrowman was blamed a few times  he got on stage told people its the owners fault, and if they tried to screw anyone out of money to DEMAND A REFUND.  Not to mention they left him at the Airport .  He was even on Facebook going  “Wheres my ride, guess im forgotten. Will i get there?”

I doubt i’ll go again.  I can’t think of anyone i’d like to meet as much as Stan Lee.   Yea there are some i’d like to meet, but him.  He was it, the big golden banana.  Surely no one can top that.   Last year I went for Bruce Campbell.  But Stan is the Man.

May just be sticking to the Nashville con for now on.   Hotel to expensive an all.

Going to be something special in the works thoe for the future I hope.   I’m not saying NO to any cons in KY.   There is at least one  i’ll be working at and going to   next year.  Just not in the summer and hopefully not Fandom again. It was a cluster fest….  or is that Fandom Fuck?
